At Anantgram, we’ve built a lifestyle around what truly supports human health—cleaner air, nourishing food, meaningful work, and time in nature. Since 2017, water, soil, biodiversity, food, and community have been designed as one living system—so well-being improves not by escape, but by alignment.
Most days begin with birdsong and a quiet walk. We move with the weather, notice the wind, and watch water—where it sits and where it disappears. The pace is slower, but life feels fuller: meaningful work, shared meals, learning by doing, and sleep that comes easily.
Breathing is the most involuntary thing we do. Air is a daily input. Tree belts, living groundcover, water bodies, and shade reduce dust, moderate heat, and soften wind—changing comfort at a body level. We track air quality and comfort the way cities track traffic: because clean air is not a luxury; it's basic health infrastructure.
seasonal diversity, extended by design
Healthy food is an outcome of the system. We eat with the seasons and aim for daily diversity—greens, vegetables, fruits, roots, millets, pulses, herbs, seeds, nuts, dairy, and medicinal plants. We also extend seasons through creating microclimates and we reduce waste through traditional processing so nourishment carries beyond harvest windows.
physical, mental, spiritual and purposeful
Work at Anantgram is physical, mental, spiritual and purposeful — rebuilding water systems, plantations, food growing, habitat care, maintenance, and continual improvement. It's not hustle; it's stewardship. When your effort feeds soil, shade, water, and community, work stops feeling like extraction — from you or from the land. Being deemed essential services during Covid lockdowns when the world shut down provided reaffirmation on our path.
recreation as participation, not consumption
Here, recreation is not consumption — it's participation in life. Sunrise walks and jogs surrounded by birdsong, chilling, swimming, kayaking, fishing in the water, physical and mental work, and nights under a sky full of stars become the default. Even "nothing" feels rich when the landscape is alive: dragonflies over water, frogs after rains, raptors riding the wind, and the slow theatre of seasons.
climate-responsive design, evolving by design
Our living spaces evolved through trials, observation, and correction — from repurposed containers to natural buildings and climate-responsive design. We keep moving toward lower embodied energy: local and renewable materials and forms that cooperate with heat and wind, use less wasteful inputs, and create comfort through shade, ventilation, and thermal intelligence. Samatva is one expression of this — built for comfort, learning, and community.
Anantgram is a living classroom
Over these years, we have gained insightful knowledge working with varied experts, technologies, methods, and our own lived experience in reviving and rebuilding a regenerative way of life in one of the harshest habitats. We now share our experiences through field visits, workshops, trainings, and courses because regeneration becomes real and spreads when people learn it by experiencing and doing.
If this resonates
Walk the living system — water, soil, habitat, and the way we live. If it resonates beyond a visit, there are pathways to participate more deeply.
Visits and stays are limited and by request; some activities are seasonal and safety-led.
